Road Dogg On Jinder Mahal: Fans Want Guys To Be Given A Chance – Until They Don’t

WWE’s Senior VP of Live Events Road Dogg Jesse James has addressed what he considers to be fickle fans who want guys to be given a chance to be main eventers.

In 2017, Jinder Mahal became WWE Champion, which took fans by surprise considering his years as an enhancement talent for other Superstars.

Speaking about Mahal on his Oh You Didn’t Know podcast, Road Dogg said how fans clamor for guys who ‘deserve’ a push but are quick to reject some stars being pushed.

“Everybody’s always clamoring to give everybody a chance. ‘He deserves it, he deserves it.’ Okay, we put the title on him. ‘No not him! He didn’t deserve it.’”

Mahal would lose the WWE Championship to AJ Styles in November 2017 and is yet to regain the title.
