Thunder Rosa’s reign as AEW Women’s World Champion has come to an end as of this week’s AEW Dynamite.
Rosa won the title in March of this year but hasn’t defended in over three months due to an injury.
In her place, Toni Storm became Interim AEW Women’s World Champion at All Out and lost the title to Jamie Hayter at Full Gear.
Paquette then introduced Hayter as the Women’s World Champion, who was going to speak before being interrupted by Britt Baker.
Rosa’s relinquishment of the title comes days after AEW President Tony Khan said he had been considering stripping her of the title.
There have been accusations that Rosa has been exaggerating her injury, a claim the now-former AEW Women’s World Champion has denied.
